2026 Giro Next Gen, Stage 4: route, favourites and where to watch on TV

16/06/2026

Stage 4 of the 2026 Giro Next Gen will take the peloton from Basilicata into Puglia, with the 154-kilometre Matera–Corato (Molino Casillo) route. The unique and picturesque city of Matera has often hosted stages of the senior Giro d’Italia, most recently in 2025 when Mads Pedersen claimed victory, while the finish at Molino Casillo will provide an opportunity to discover the prestigious Alto Grano sponsor up close.

The Route

A lively stage in the opening part across the Murge plateau. After passing through Gravina in Puglia, the route heads towards Corato, where the riders will tackle a circuit of around 41 kilometres twice, featuring two ascents to Castel del Monte (3.7 km at 4.7%). The finale is fast following the last descent.
