A mixed stage with some challenging climbs that could decide the overall standings, especially if gaps remain narrow. After an initial southern loop from Pinerolo, the route heads toward the Susa Valley before turning back at Piossasco toward Pinerolo. After a first pass across the finish line, riders complete two laps of a circuit that includes the difficult ascent of Prarostino (with gradients up to 20%) and the cobbled wall of Via dei Principi d’Acaja, which during the second lap will come just a few kilometers before the finish.

The final kilometers are very demanding. At 2,500 meters to go, the peloton faces the wall of Via dei Principi d’Acaja (450 m at 14%, with peaks of 20%, on cobbles and a narrow road), followed by a very technical descent ending 1,500 meters from the line.
